Linda Ronstadt "Simple Man, Simple Dream"

"Simple Man, Simple Dream"

What if I fall in love with you
Just like normal people do
Well maybe I'd kill you
Or maybe I'd be true

When I go down to get a job sometime
It seems people can read my mind
And make money disappear
While they're talking sweet and kind

Well in some ways I am like a child
You never seemed to know it
And if a kind word ever crossed your mind
You never tried to show it

Well in some ways I am like a child
You never seemed to know it
And if a kind word ever crossed your mind
You never tried to show it

When people don't know what you mean
They may laugh at you and call you green
They'll say your words are stupid
And your plans are only schemes

Truth is simple
But seldom ever seen
Let nothing come between
Simple man, simple dream

The Economic Times (from India): Jack Ma's30-30-30 advice for the future

The World Economic Forum's annual outing at Davos every January is the place to be to hear from a crosssection of world leaders and opinion makers. This year, Alibaba founder Jack Ma left the audience with some parting thoughts after his session. His key piece of advice to every government - the 30-30-30 focus - to make sure tomorrow is more inclusive than today.

His first tip: Pay attention to the next 30 years. They will be critical for the world. Every technology revolution takes 50 years. In the first 20 years, the companies/technologies are established. The implications of the technological developments will become evident in the next 30 years.

The second: Pay attention to the 30 year olds. They are the internet generation and will change the world. They will build a new tomorrow.

And last: Pay attention to companies that have less than 30 employees, the small businesses. Take the lead from Forrest Gump. Ma quoted from his favourite Hollywood movie, "Nobody makes money catching whales. People make money catching shrimps."
